Collection: Patrizia Cencioni

Patrizia Cencioni is a family-owned winery in Montalcino, founded in 1989 by Patrizia Cencioni and now run alongside her daughters, Annalisa and Arianna. The estate's roots stretch back to the 1950s, when Patrizia's grandfather, Giuseppe Cencioni, established one of the area's early wine estates and became one of the founding members of the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino.

The estate covers around 50 hectares, including approximately 9 hectares of Sangiovese vineyards dedicated primarily to Brunello di Montalcino, alongside 7 hectares of olive groves. The vineyards lie at around 350 metres above sea level on the south-eastern slopes of Montalcino, overlooking the Val d'Orcia, where altitude, well-drained soils and wide day-night temperature swings help produce wines with freshness, structure and longevity. Harvesting is carried out by hand, while fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before the wines mature slowly in French and Slavonian oak casks.

Today, the winery focuses almost exclusively on Sangiovese, producing Brunello di Montalcino, Brunello Riserva, Rosso di Montalcino and a small range of other Tuscan wines. Combining traditional ageing with careful vineyard management, Patrizia Cencioni has earned a reputation for classically styled Brunello that reflects the character of Montalcino's historic terroir.
