Taittinger is one of Champagne’s few remaining family-owned houses, founded in 1734 (then as Forest-Fourneaux) and revitalised by Pierre Taittinger in 1932 when he acquired the Château de la Marquetterie near Épernay. Today, under Vitalie Taittinger, the house remains based in Reims, crafting Champagnes defined by their high proportion of Chardonnay — a hallmark of the Taittinger style.
The family oversees some 288 hectares of vineyards, covering 37 crus, which supply roughly half of their production, ensuring remarkable consistency across vintages.
Few houses balance heritage, control, and finesse quite like Taittinger - a name that defines Champagne elegance.
