A superb red Burgundy at a very affordable price. Coming from the village of Monthélie, just round the corner from Meursault and Volnay, the wine has a savoury nose with some spice and red fruit notes. On the palate it is chewy with good fruit and again some spice.

Slightly rustic tannins make this into a real quaffing wine that would be good to drink with some red meat casseroles or roasts. Even game works well. It's almost a junior Volnay!

OUR GROWERS

Domaine Éric Boigelot

The roots of Domaine Éric Boigelot trace back to the early 20th century when Éric Boigelot’s great-grandfather established a 2-hectare wine estate in the village of Monthélie. Over time, Jacques Boigelot, Éric’s grandfather, expanded the domain to cover 7 hectares across Meursault, Monthélie, Volnay, and Pommard.
