The second wine of Château de Ferrand, Le Différent offers a more approachable expression of this historic Right Bank property. It shows ripe plum and blackberry fruit with hints of spice, cedar and soft earthy notes. The palate is supple and balanced, with rounded tannins and a fresh finish.

Its dark fruit and gentle spice make it a great match for dishes with savoury depth, such as mushroom risotto, slow-cooked meats or roasted vegetables.

Grapes

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc

OUR GROWERS

Château de Ferrand

Château de Ferrand sits on the limestone plateau on the eastern side of Saint‑Émilion and dates back to 1702, when it was founded by the lawyer and poet Elie de Bétoulaud at the court of Louis XIV. Today the estate is owned by the Bich family, whose investment in the vineyards and cellar over the past two decades has helped cement its place among the Grand Cru estates of Saint-Émilion.
