Sipp Mack Pinot Blanc is open and fresh on the nose, with aromas of acacia flowers. Rich, floral flavours mix with peach and pear fruit and very food friendly thanks to its lovely balance. It is a thirst-quenching Pinot Blanc with notes of white flowers. The palate presents citrus flavours with a dazzling freshness. A real workhorse and delicious with many varied foods.
Although not as aromatic as some other Alsatian grape varieties, Pinot Blanc is loved by many as it is something of a chameleon grape, providing an easy drinking wine that adapts well to many types of dishes.

The 2019 growing season in Alsace started promisingly but threw a curveball in late June when Europe's record-breaking heatwave sent temperatures soaring past 40°C. The vines handled the shock better than expected, though some parcels on exposed slopes showed stress. What followed was a mercifully cooler August that allowed the grapes to regain their composure before a warm, dry September brought everything home in excellent condition. Harvest began earlier than usual but proceeded at a relaxed pace.
This vintage rewards patience rather than flashiness—the wines show impressive concentration without the sometimes overwrought intensity that extreme heat can produce. Riesling performed particularly well, delivering wines with crystalline precision and excellent acidity that should age gracefully. Gewürztraminer emerged more restrained than usual, which we rather like, whilst Pinot Gris strikes a lovely balance between richness and freshness. The wines are drinking beautifully now but the best examples will continue rewarding cellaring until 2030.
