Domaine Horgelus' Rosé is one of those bottles that just gets everything right—bright, vibrant, and packed with character. On the nose, it’s bursting with sweet wild strawberries, juicy blackcurrants, and zesty citrus, while the palate brings a refreshing lift of wild herbs and tangy acidity. It’s smooth, dry, and effortlessly moreish.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Merlot—an unusual but inspired trio—this rosé combines structure with charm. Cabernet and Tannat lend depth and a touch of backbone, while Merlot softens things out, bringing an easy-going, fruit-forward feel. And thanks to night-time harvesting (a smart move in warmer regions), all that freshness is beautifully preserved.
Pale in colour but anything but shy, this is a rosé that’s as at home in a sunny garden as it is brightening up a grey afternoon. It’s lively, generous, and just plain delicious—like a little bottle of Gascon sunshine.
"A delicious refreshing light rosé, brimming with lightly textured ripe strawberry fruits. Perfect on its own, with salads or grilled white meats."
John Wilson, The Irish Times
"Pungent herbs and fresh basil leaves. Berry juicy and fruity with a herbal tone. Needs robust food - beef burgers with a spicy tomato relish."
Liam Campbell, The Irish Independent
