The Domaine Horgelus Colombard/Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, zippy white that delivers pure sunshine in a glass. With just 25% Sauvignon Blanc, it still packs a citrusy punch, while Colombard brings tropical fruit and vibrant freshness.

Bursting with grapefruit zest, gooseberry and a hint of blackcurrant leaf, it’s crisp, aromatic, and seriously refreshing—offering more polish than many New World Sauvignons, and all at brilliant value.

From the heart of Côtes de Gascogne, this is winemaker Yoan Le Menn’s speciality: expressive, fruit-forward wines with real charm. We discovered it at a Montpellier wine fair, and it instantly stood out - perhaps the greatest value for money in our catalogue. A perfect pick for midweek meals or relaxed sunny lunches.

"Gorgeous 11.5% Gascon, mostly Colombard with a splash of Sauvignon. Bursting with light, lively, floral apple and white peach stashed fruit plus a zesty tongue-tingling finish."

Vintage report

The 2025 vintage in England's South West is, frankly, still a work in progress as far as our full picture goes — harvest only completed in autumn 2024 for the 2024 wines, and reliable aggregated data on 2025 is not yet widely published. What we can say is that the South West's maritime climate, moderated by the Gulf Stream and shaped by Atlantic weather systems rolling in off Cornwall and Devon, means producers here are perpetually reading the skies and managing ripening right up to the wire. Cooler, wetter summers tend to favour Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, and the region's increasingly confident sparkling base wines; warmer ones push Pinot Noir and Chardonnay closer to something genuinely exciting.

Rather than reach for detail we cannot stand behind, we'd say watch this space — and in the meantime, trust the growers. The South West has producers, Camel Valley and Knightor among them, who have learned to work with whatever the Atlantic throws at them. When we have firm vintage data we'll update accordingly. If you're choosing something now, the most recent releases from reliable estates here are drinking well young, built for freshness rather than the cellar, and best enjoyed sooner rather than held in hope.
