Another excellent wine from the Von Niepperg stable. A blend of Merlot 60% Cabernet Franc 30% and Cabernet Sauvignon 10%. It gives great quality with bold dark fruit aromas and flavours with blackcurrant evident alongside some raspberry notes. The tannins are fairly bold but are starting to soften now and the freshness gives good life to the wine.
Drink it with roast wood pigeon with black pudding and baby beetroots.
