Pale straw with green highlights, the 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc from Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet offers aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, pear and stone fruit, with a signature mineral note. The palate is rich and creamy yet balanced, showing elegant fruit, bright acidity and subtle oak integration, finishing long and harmonious. It pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, lightly spiced Asian dishes, or creamy cheeses.
Ramonet, one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s most respected estates, farms around 17 hectares across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Their Chardonnays are carefully vinified with oak and lees contact to enhance complexity while showcasing terroir, and low yields ensure concentration and finesse.
The 2022 vintage was generally favourable, producing fresh, vibrant wines with expressive fruit and mineral drive. In this bottle, it delivers a harmonious, elegant Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc with excellent drinking potential now and over the next several years.
