Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru 'Les Cras', Domaine Georges & Christophe Roumier, 2023

Few names command greater respect in Chambolle-Musigny than Domaine Georges & Christophe Roumier, and Les Cras is one of the estate’s most compelling Premier Crus. Situated high on the slope, just beneath Bonnes-Mares, the vineyard takes its name from the stony, limestone-rich soils ("cras" meaning rocky ground) that give the wine its distinctive combination of power, minerality and finesse. It is often considered one of the village’s finest Premier Cru sites, producing wines that can approach Grand Cru stature in the best vintages.

The 2023 vintage showcases the remarkable precision for which Roumier is renowned. As always, the winemaking is understated, allowing the character of this exceptional terroir to shine through.
