Astoria's El Ruden Rosso is a bold and distinctive northern Italian red with a twist. The name “Ruden” means rust in Venetian dialect—hence the label—and the wine is just as memorable. It’s an unusual blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and a touch of dried Marzemino, giving it a rich, Amarone-like depth without the Amarone price tag.
Aged 9 months in French oak, it’s soft yet structured, packed with ripe red and black fruit, gentle spice, and a lingering finish of dried berries. Perfect with roast meats, hard cheese, or simply sipped late into the evening. Unique, delicious, and excellent value.
