Shed Five Thirty is located in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s oldest wine region on the east coast of the North Island. The Estate specialises in harnessing the unique geography of their various sites to make the most of the area’s extended growing season to produce their Characteristic full-bodied Red Blends, elegant Syrah and rich, complex Chardonnays.
Chief Winemaker, Kel Dixon uses the estate’s fruit from across the region, including the renowned Gimblett Gravels, Dartmoor Valley and Havelock Hills vineyards, and practices minimal intervention in the winery with all cuvées.
The team have turned Shed Five Thirty into a destination winery, a real haven for Hawke’s Bay residents and tourists alike, all about great wine, great food and great times – and the wines certainly embody this ethos while showcasing the serious quality afforded by some of the region’s best vineyard sites.
