Château Fonroque is a historic Saint-Émilion estate with roots dating back to the 16th century. It has been owned by the Moueix family since 1931, and in the early 2000s Alain Moueix led its conversion to organic and biodynamic farming, making it one of the first classified growths in the appellation to achieve full certification.

The vineyards lie on the limestone plateau and clay-limestone slopes of Saint-Émilion, ideal for Merlot, which forms the core of the blend alongside Cabernet Franc. Farmed with a strong focus on soil health and minimal intervention, the wines are supple yet structured, combining ripe dark fruit with freshness and a subtle mineral edge, offering an elegant and age-worthy expression of the Right Bank.
