Trentham Estate Noble Taminga is a late harvested, botrytis affected sweet wine made from the unique Taminga grape variety. Light yellow gold in colour, with lifted aromas of citrus and citrus blossom, apricot and honey. Lusciously sweet on the palate with a fresh, balancing acidity and lingering flavours of apricot, orange peel and toffee.
Taminga is a grape variety developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) that ripens late and is well suited to producing a botrytis style wine. Botrytis, or noble rot, is encouraged as it draws moisture out of the grape, concentrating the flavours and sugars as well as adding complex flavours itself.
