This elegant red wine certainly lacks nothing in terms of flavour! Made from 90% Montepulciano and 10% Sangiovese, it was first fermented then aged in small barrels for 8 months before being bottled without fining and filtration.

The result is this deep ruby coloured wine with powerful aromas of red fruits such as plums and cherries. In the mouth the same flavours dominate backed by a bold yet ripe tannin structure. It is ideal for drinking now but feel free to keep it for a year or two.

The vines for this wine are still youngish (10 years or so) yet Catia has managed to make something very sophisticated by restricting yields and careful work in the cellar. This is Rosso Conero at its best and, although not cheap, drinks well above its price-tag.

  • ❖ ABV: 14%

OUR GROWERS

Tenimenti Spinsanti

The land for this boutique estate was purchased in 1973 by Adino Spinsanti but it wasn't until 1998 when his daughter, Catia, began producing wine.

Situated in the hilly area of Camerano in the Conero National Park, this is a fairly mild area thanks to the proximity of the Adriatic and it is characterised by the warm days and cool nights which guarantee good sugar levels and aromatic compounds in the grapes.
