Domaine Tollot-Beaut's Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru 'Les Lavières' has a nose that leaps from the glass with both red and black fruit aromas. There are also more developed aromas of woodland undergrowth now coming through. The palate remains fresh and vibrant with a wonderful purity of fruit balanced by a fresh acidity and ripe tannins. A great Savigny for current consumption, or at any point over the next few years.
Savigny-Lès-Beaune is sandwiched between Beaune and the grand cru vineyards of Corton. Because of this, the wines are sometimes unfairly overlooked, but luckily they offer tremendous value for those people happy to search a little farther afield.
Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru 'Les Lavières' by Domaine Tollot-Beaut is one of a pair of Premier Cru Savigny wines from this top estate, and it is the earliest to show its full finery.
