Santenay Rouge, Domaine Benoit Girardin, 2023 is a finely judged expression of Pinot Noir from the southern Côte de Beaune, combining bright red cherry and raspberry fruit with subtle floral notes and a gentle savoury edge. The palate is fresh and poised, with silky tannins, lively acidity and a refined, mineral finish that reflects Santenay’s increasingly confident village style.
Domaine Benoit Girardin is a young but highly regarded project from Benoit Girardin, drawing on deep family roots in Burgundy and quickly earning attention for wines of clarity, balance and terroir focus.
The 2023 vintage delivered healthy yields and excellent ripeness across Burgundy, resulting in reds that are open and expressive yet well balanced, making this both immediately enjoyable and capable of short- to mid-term ageing.
