Santenay Les Champs Claude, Domaine Benoit Girardin, 2023 is a white Burgundy Chardonnay from a single-vineyard parcel in Santenay that shows fresh, precise fruit with a lively mineral core. The nose offers floral highlights with bursts of lime and grapefruit, and the soil interplay of clay below and limestone above gives the wine an appealing energy and a clean, lime-tinged finish.
2023 was a particularly strong vintage for Benoit Girardin, delivering both quality and quantity, and this bottling reflects the vintage’s ripe, balanced character with expressive aromatics and refreshing clarity.
Domaine Benoit Girardin is a newer venture by Benoit Girardin, part of a respected Burgundy winemaking family, and his wines are noted for their clarity, terroir expression and finesse - even at village and single-vineyard levels.
