Bright red cherry and raspberry fruit sit at the core of the Jacqueson's 2021 Préaux, lifted by a hint of rose petal, gentle spice and a light earthy touch. The palate is fresh and finely etched, with lively acidity and silky tannins giving precision and flow. It’s a lovely partner for roast chicken, grilled duck or mushroom-based dishes.
From well-exposed, limestone-rich slopes in Rully, Domaine Paul et Marie Jacqueson’s Premier Cru Préaux shows the domaine’s hallmark balance and clarity. The cooler 2021 vintage has produced a more delicate, energetic style than 2022, with freshness and definition to the fore, making it both immediately appealing and capable of short- to mid-term ageing.
