Pommard Premier Cru Les Chanlins, Domaine Clos de la Chapelle, 2022 is a classic, structured Pinot Noir that captures the power and focus Pommard is known for while showing real pedigree from old vines planted around 80 years ago in a steep, limestone-rich site between Volnay and Pommard’s famed Rugiens vineyards.
Clos de la Chapelle has rapidly earned a strong reputation for precise, terroir-driven Burgundies from top Côte de Beaune sites, and the 2022 vintage in Burgundy delivered generous yields with excellent fruit purity and balance, resulting in wines that combine ripe, concentrated fruit with fresh, lively structure.
The 2022 Les Chanlins is built for medium- to long-term ageing, with primary flavours that will mellow and integrate further over the next decade. It pairs superbly with roasted or braised red meats, game birds, mushroom-based dishes or hearty stews like beef bourguignon.
