Fresh and mineral-driven, Pernand-Vergelesses Les Combottes 2022 from Domaine Rapet Père & Fils opens with bright aromas of citrus zest, green apple and white flowers, followed by delicate notes of stone and wet stone that speak to its limestone-rich soils. The palate is focused and vibrant, with crisp acidity carrying zesty fruit through to a long, refreshing finish.
It will be excellent with grilled sea bass or sole meunière, pan-seared scallops, roast chicken with lemon-herb jus, or a chèvre salad with herbs and citrus.
Made from carefully selected Chardonnay vineyards in the Les Combottes climat and aged with judicious use of oak for added texture, the 2022 vintage brings ripe fruit character balanced by lively freshness and a clear mineral thread, making this a refined and approachable Burgundy white.
