The 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges from Domaine du Clos Frantin is a rich, expressive Burgundy with a perfect balance of power and finesse. On the nose, it shows dark cherry, blackberry, and subtle spice, complemented by earthy notes and a whisper of forest floor. The palate is structured yet silky, with fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a long, elegant finish that carries the dark fruit and earthy undertones beautifully.
It’s a wine that shines with heartier fare - think roasted game, beef bourguignon, or mushroom-studded dishes - but is approachable now with a little decanting.
