The 2024 Moulin de Gassac Viognier is a bright, expressive white that captures the warmth of the Languedoc with a touch of finesse. Bursting with aromas of apricot, peach, and white blossom, it’s lifted by a hint of citrus that keeps it fresh and lively.

Smooth and gently rounded on the palate, it offers juicy stone fruit flavours with a soft texture and just enough zing to stay crisp. It’s a great-value, easygoing white - perfect as an aperitif or with white meats and creamy dishes. A real crowd-pleaser with charm.

Vintage report

The 2024 vintage in Languedoc presents something of a puzzle wrapped in an enigma. We're still piecing together the full picture of this growing season, but what's emerging suggests a year that kept vignerons on their toes. Early reports point to a vintage shaped by contrast rather than consistency, with conditions varying dramatically across the region's sprawling landscape from coastal Picpoul vineyards to high-altitude Faugères plots.

What we can say with confidence is that 2024 has produced wines with real personality, though it's far too early to make grand pronouncements about quality. The reds we've tasted so far show promising structure, whilst the whites display the kind of freshness that makes Languedoc such an exciting region when it gets things right. Most 2024s won't be ready for serious evaluation until well into 2025, so we're exercising unusual patience for a team that typically can't wait to crack open the latest arrivals.

OUR GROWERS

Mas De Daumas Gassac

The story of Mas de Daumas Gassac begins in the early 1970’s when Véronique and Aimé Guibert discovered an abandoned farmhouse in the serene Gassac valley. Following the guidance of geologist Professor Henri Enjalbert, they planted 17,000 non-cloned Cabernet-Sauvignon grafts sourced from elite Bordeaux properties the following year.
