Vincent Girardin’s Meursault Vieilles Vignes 2020 is a classic, finely balanced expression of the appellation, combining Meursault’s signature richness with lift and precision. Sourced from a selection of old-vine parcels across the commune, the wine is aged on fine lees in French oak, with only a modest proportion of new wood, giving texture without overt oakiness.
Pair with grilled lobster with butter sauce, roast veal or chicken in a white wine and herb jus, creamy mushroom risotto, or foie gras.
The warm yet balanced 2020 vintage delivers ripe, concentrated fruit alongside fresh acidity. Aromas of toasted almond and hazelnut sit alongside citrus, floral notes and a gentle flinty edge. The palate is generous and creamy, but well-defined, with energy and length that keep it focused and elegant.
