Jane Eyre's 2022 Fleurie “Vendanges Entières” is a charming and vibrant expression of one of Beaujolais’s most graceful appellations. Floral, juicy and wonderfully approachable, this wine shows the lighter, aromatic side of Gamay while retaining enough depth to appeal to lovers of classic reds.

This is lovely with roasted chicken with herbs, grilled sausages and caramelised onions, mushroom risotto, or a simple charcuterie board with soft cheeses — versatile, food-friendly pairings that echo the wine’s floral fruit and lively energy.

“Vendange entière” refers to whole-cluster (whole-bunch) harvesting and fermentation - the grapes are picked and vinified with stems intact rather than destemmed. This traditional approach can add fragrance, lift and textural nuance to the wine, often contributing to a more perfumed profile and gentle tannic structure.

Jane Eyre’s rise in Burgundy has been an extraordinary story. Since her first vintage in 1998, Jane has honed her skills working alongside some of the world’s most respected winemakers, including Comtes Lafon, Ernie Loosen in the Mosel and Freddie Mugnier in Chambolle-Musigny. Her wines have gained critical acclaim from critics like Jancis Robinson, Tim Atkin, and Neal Martin. More recently she received her RVF second star and became the first woman to win the Negociant of the Year title in 2021.

Through gentle extraction techniques, thoughtful oak usage, and early bottling, Jane creates Burgundies that are accessible and appealing even in their early stages. Her wines have a distinct style - delicate and inviting, with supple tannins and vibrant fruits.
