Produced from 100% organically grown Nero d'Avola, LaMura Nero d'Avola Biologico 2022 captures the warmth and generosity of Sicily in a fresh, approachable style. Grown in the island's sun-drenched vineyards and vinified entirely in stainless steel to preserve its pure fruit character, the wine is certified organic and made with minimal intervention.
The 2022 vintage offers vibrant aromas of ripe cherry, plum and blackberry, complemented by hints of Mediterranean herbs and sweet spice. The palate is soft and juicy, with supple tannins, bright acidity and a touch of savoury character adding balance to the generous red fruit. Medium-bodied and effortlessly drinkable, it delivers all the charm of Sicily in an honest, fruit-forward style.
A perfect match for pasta with rich tomato sauces, wood-fired pizza, grilled lamb or mature cheeses, this is an easy-going Sicilian red that's ready to enjoy now.

Sicily's 2022 vintage arrived with a fascinating contradiction: drought conditions that would normally spell disaster, yet somehow produced wines of remarkable freshness and precision. The island's volcanic soils and high-altitude vineyards proved their worth, retaining just enough moisture to keep vines healthy whilst concentrating flavours beautifully. Harvest came early across most zones, with growers picking under crisp morning skies before the heat built up.
What emerged from the cellars has surprised us all. The Nero d'Avola shows a taut, mineral backbone we rarely see from this variety, whilst Etna's Nerello Mascalese has that perfect balance of red fruit brightness and smoky volcanic grip that makes the variety so compelling. These aren't wines that need years in the cellar to find their voice - they're singing now, with enough structure to reward patience if you fancy laying some down until 2030 or beyond.
