Domaine des Deux Moulins, Cabernet D'anjou Rosé, 2022
Domaine des Deux Moulins, Cabernet D'anjou Rosé, 2022
- Rosé Still
- 75cl
What a great all rounder and a wine of great class too. The wine is a pale salmon in colour with a wonderful bouquet of ripe, cooked red fruits with hints of vanilla. Strawberry and redcurrant dominate. The palate marries perfectly with the bouquet. It is semi-sweet, generous and yet savoury. The balance between the freshness of the acidity and the sweetness is perfect with red fruits being dominant once again with touches of white pepper in the finish. Drink it in the summer as an aperitif, try it with melon and red fruits, fillets of pork and above all, asian dishes - Chinese, Thai and even Indian curries. And if there's any left, why not try it with red fruit desserts?!
The designation of this wine is Demi Sec or half dry. Don't be put off by the thoughts of sweetness if you're a confirmed dry white or red lover, putting this with food allows it to really deliver and if you're a lover of spicy asian food, this really takes some beating.
First of all, it's really luscious and silky, packed with red fruits and with nigh on perfect levels of acidity. It's superb! In summertime, it's great to drink with friends before a meal and again, that lovely acidity brings the palate alive and gets you ready for something to eat. But would you ever think a slightly sweeter rose could be gastronomic? Well this is. Try it with a piece of poached salmon or sea trout with some salad. It will amaze you.
