This is an incredible Saint Chinian from the top producer of the region. It was made from older vines (30 to 90 years of age) on southern facing limestone terraces. It is extremely refreshing with blackcurrant fruit notes dominant. The bouquet is of violets and griotte cherries with hints of liquorice behind. The tannins are ripe and bold but not over emphasised. A great wine that is ready for young drinking but will last for a further 6 years.

Although they are not totally organic, the family work as closely as possible to that philosophy using no chemical fertilisers and only using chemicals in the vineyards to ensure they actually get an harvest, which in fact means that most years, non are used whatsoever.
