Situated in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard has built a reputation for producing wines of precision and finesse, with an emphasis on expressing the unique character of each vineyard. La Boudriotte is one of the appellation's most highly regarded Premier Cru sites, celebrated for producing wines that combine richness with striking mineral tension.
The 2024 vintage has yielded whites of exceptional freshness and purity, and this Premier Cru is no exception. Aromas of white peach, citrus blossom and ripe pear are layered with notes of hazelnut, fresh butter and a hint of flint. The palate is concentrated yet beautifully poised, with vibrant acidity carrying flavours of orchard fruit, lemon curd and subtle oak through to a long, saline finish. Elegant now, it will continue to gain complexity over the next 10–15 years.
An outstanding partner for butter-poached lobster, turbot, roast chicken with morels or creamy mushroom risotto, this is a classic white Burgundy that captures the balance and refinement of a superb Premier Cru vineyard.
