Domaine Long-Depaquit, owned by Albert Bichot, is a respected name in Chablis, known for pure, terroir-led winemaking and an elegant, restrained style. Their holdings in Vaudésirs sit on steep limestone slopes - a site famous for producing some of the most refined and silken wines in the Grand Cru lineup.
The 2018 vintage in Chablis was warmer and more generous than usual, bringing riper fruit and slightly broader texture, while still retaining the region’s trademark freshness and mineral backbone.
In the glass, this wine is finely layered: citrus and green apple sit alongside soft stone fruit, white flowers and a subtle saline edge. The palate is precise yet supple; bright acidity and chalky minerality balanced by a gentle roundness from lees ageing.
It’s polished, quietly complex and already drinking beautifully, especially with shellfish, seafood or delicate poultry dishes - the kind of Grand Cru that delivers both finesse and pleasure.
