This charming Beaune Premier Cru from the well-placed Vignes Franches vineyard is a beautifully judged expression of the appellation. Pierre has taken his usual light-touch approach in the cellar, allowing the character of Beaune to come through clearly, with bright red cherry and raspberry fruit to the fore, complemented by subtle savoury notes and a gentle hint of spice. On the palate it is supple, juicy and effortlessly drinkable, with just enough structure to give shape.
Enjoy it alongside roast chicken, pork or mushroom-based dishes, where its freshness and fruit really come into their own.
