Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur Beaune Les Prevoles 2016 comes from the bottom of the slope with deeper soils and shows a prettier side of Beaune. There are bright aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and violets with notes of earth beneath. The palate is on the lighter side for the appellation, showing tart cherry, raspberry, and stones framed by fine-grained tannins. This is elegant, with a good persistence to its finish.
The vineyard of Les Prevoles lies away from the main road but beneath the premiers crus, just to the south of the town of Beaune. It consistently produces good wines, and this vintage of Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur Beaune Les Prevoles is certainly no exception.
