Astoria Caranto Pinot Noir has an attractive, bright bouquet that is really open and packed with strawberry and raspberry aromas. On the palate, Caranto Pinot Noir has plenty of crunchy red fruit, a touch of earthy spice, a light, and elegant structure, and a fresh fruity finish. Great served cool for summertime drinking but equally as good for quaffing with a wintertime casserole.

This delicious Astoria Caranto Pinot Noir is incredibly youthful and vibrant – great value too! You don't really associate north-east Italy with Pinot Noir but this is a little gem that most certainly deserves consideration. It's a great lunchtime wine and travels well to a picnic too!

Pinot Noir is quite a low-cropping grape variety and therefore it tends to be pricey. None of that here. It's not cheap but certainly not expensive and it's a great all-rounder. You could also drink it with meaty fish such as shark or tuna.
