While Jane Eyre has made a name for herself in Burgundy wine production, she has remained true to her Australian roots. After growing up in Gippsland, Victoria, she cut hair in Melbourne for ten years. One of her clients was the wife of wine critic Jeremy Oliver, which led to her first wine job in Burgundy. When she returned to Australia, she met wine merchant Philip Rich and began working at Prince Wine Store. She then began doing vintages at various wineries across Australia, New Zealand and Burgundy, developing a signature style that focuses on gentle extraction techniques, thoughtful oak usage, and early bottling. Jane’s key to producing beautiful Pinot Noirs is never over extracting. This ensures her Pinot Noirs remain delicate and inviting, with supple tannins and vibrant fruit flavour.
