Over the past three decades, Clemens Busch’s wines have developed a cult following for their precise, textured and terroir-driven expressions. Their popularity has only continued to increase due to a recent string of top scores in the Wine Advocate and from James Suckling.
A member of the VDP organisation, Clemens was among the first German winemakers to embrace organic farming in 1984, and in 2005, he fully transitioned to biodynamic production. The Mosel region’s microclimates, created by its diverse slate slopes, result in a multitude of unique expressions, which are each vinified separately and bottled as individual plots. Using only natural yeasts for fermentation, his wines always display his signature style, with pure, driven fruit, great energy and intensity on the mid-palate. The mid-range GGs in particular offer great value.
