Château Montaud in the heart of the Maures Mountains is home to Vignobles François Ravel, a family-owned company founded in 1964. The chateau itself is located on the site of an old Roman settlement. Its long schist and sandstone soils forces the vines to take root deeply, imparting them with the full characteristics of the land. For three generations, the family has utilized low yields and no irrigation in combination with modern technologies to ensure the full expression of the terroir as well as consistent quality.
Côtes de Provence AOC is the largest appellation of the Provence wine region in south-eastern France and is known for its exceptional rosés. Chateau Montaud’s stands out for its unique Provencal bottle shape which was specially made for the Ravel family more than 40 years ago.
