San Giorgio a lapi Chianti Colli Senesi is great little Tuscan wine with a full and intense bouquet of cherries and red berries, dark spices, undergrowth and liquorice. On the palate it is harmonious, well balanced, savoury and persistant in the finish. It can be drunk slightly cool in the summer when it really refreshes the parts water cannot reach!
San Giorgio A Lapi Chianti Colli Senesi is a blend of 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo, produced to the north-east of Siena. It starts its life with fermentation in steel tanks. After 5 days it is racked and put into large oak botti while it is still sweet to terminate the fermentation.Best served around 18 degrees C. Will keep for around 6 years in the right conditions.
