Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur Saint-Romain La Combe Bazin 2017 has a bracing minerality imparted by the soils of its vineyard. This makes it an ideal partner to food, whilst the perfect level of acidity provides freshness and vitality. This is classic white Burgundy at an affordable price and is sure to please lovers of fine Chardonnay. The 2017 vintage gave wines that are very approachable in youth and this is a super example.

Saint-Romain is a lesser known appellation of the Côte D'Or, yet this Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur example from La Combe Bazin has much to offer the Burgundy lover.

Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur

“A fifth-generation winemaker, Pascal Prunier assumed the reins of this estate in 1983. He and his wife Christine Bonheur renamed it, combining their names to form the new Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur. Their goal is to offer “a genuine product, the result of hard work without pretense and without excessive ambition.” The domaine spans 6 hectares of vineyards, from Saint-Romain in Beaune to Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, Meursault, and Pommard. However, Pascal is continually expanding its holdings, recently acquiring a Meursault plot, a parcel of Auxey-Duresses red, and a new premier cru, Auxey-Duresses Val.
