A bold yet cultured red that is just built for meat. It has a deep ruby red hue with touches of violet at the rim. The bouquet is complex with ripe plums foremost against black raspberry and mocha. Every time you go back to it the bouquet changes as the complexity develops. In the mouth it is smooth yet robust with velvety tannins and a nutty edge from the barrel maturation. A great bottle!

The wine was made was made from handpicked grapes grown in the Perdriel and Lujan de Cuyo regions of Mendoza. After de-stemming and crushing, the grapes underwent a cold maceration in tank to ensure full fruit character and good depth of colour. It then underwent a 15 day fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After the malolactic fermentation it was aged in french oak for 10 months.

Mi Terruno

The Baigorria family’s journey in Mendoza’s wine industry began in 1960 when they first purchased vineyards. It continued in 2004 with the establishment of their own winery, which was retrofitted from an old glass tile factory in San Roque, Maipu. The winery is managed by the brother- sister duo of commercial director, Gabriel Baigorria, and winemaker, Maria Eugenia Baigorria. Its name, Mi Terruño, meaning “my terroir”, encapsulates their philosophy of producing wines that capture the characteristics of the grapes and the unique expression of Mendoza’s terroir. All of the grapes are hand-picked at the estate and undergo a second hand selection to ensure only the finest fruit is used in their blends.
