A fantastic St Emilion from the same stable as L'Eglise Clinet in Pomerol. It comes from 100% Merlot on special rootstock and from 35 year old vines thus giving a reduced harvest. It takes me back to childhood with the black pastels opening, ripe cherries and some darker flavours lingering in the finish. Despite the minerality, it remains fruit focused to the end and is truly an excellent wine. Consider this for every cellar.
