Over the last decade or so Chateay Meyney has returned to the quality levels of yesteryear and is now a top flight St Estephe that should be considered for every cellar. In 2011 there was a big hailstorm on the border of St Estephe and Pauillac but the Meyney property managed to escape it. It is a bold wine with savoury notes such as black olives in the bouquet against the ripe fruit flavours. Fairly well endowed on the palate this will drink well for some years to come and provide lots of pleasure.
