Adega Cooperativa de Monção is a benchmark for Portuguese wine production. Since 1958, it has built an important and distinctive legacy that honours the natural wealth of Monção and Melgaço sub-region, part of the Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes. With a multifaceted wine catalogue, Adega de Monção produces some successful brands such as Muralhas de Monção or Alvarinho Deu-La-Deu, privileging the native Alvarinho variety in its production. Adega de Monção records an annual business volume of more than 17 million euros and its fundamental priorities are: the promotion of sustainability and energy efficiency in the different processes of production as well as the internationalisation of Minho’s regional wines.
