Domaine Guiberteau was founded by the Guiberteau family in 1934, 12 kilometers south of Saumur in the Loire Valley’s village of Saint-Just-sur- Dive. The Domaine has been run by Romain Guiberteau since 1996 who focuses exclusively on only two grape varietals: Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc.

With vines ranging in age from 5 to over 80 years old, Romain relies on a minimal-intervention approach which enables the character of the fruit and terroir to shine through. Their vineyards have been managed organically since 2003 and they utilize only the minimum amount of sulphur in the winemaking process without added yeasts, enzymes, or stabilizing products.
