With plenty of experience behind the wheel, he's a valued member of the team, ensuring your orders arrive safely and on time. Reliable, approachable, and always ready with a smile, Ste plays a key role in connecting us directly with our customers.
We spoke with Ste to find out a bit more.
Q: How did you get into the wine trade?
I applied for a driving job at Gerrard Seel after spending time working as a self-employed delivery driver - it was a great opportunity to join a great team and keep doing what I enjoy.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
Meeting different people and going to different places. No two days are ever the same, and I like that variety. It keeps things interesting and means you’re always seeing somewhere new or having a good chat with customers along the way.
Q: What’s your current favourite wine on the list?
I don’t really drink wine I much prefer a beer! But I can be persuaded to join in with a nice glass of red every now and then.
Q: Any fun facts or hobbies outside of work?
Fishing, snooker and golf. I enjoy anything that gets me outdoors or having a bit of friendly competition with friends.
Q: Dream food and wine pairing?
I love an Indian, but as I say I’d choose a cold lager over wine to go with it
Q: Finally — red, white, or fizz?
If I really had to choose it would be red, something with plenty of fruit and smooth for easy drinking.
