Château D'Armailhac, a Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification, is located in Pauillac. Initially known as Château Mouton d’Armailhacq, it became part of the Rothschild portfolio in 1933, significantly benefiting from their investment and expertise. More recently we’ve been huge fans of the wine, which captures the swagger of the Grand Vin.

The 70-hectare vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Emphasising sustainability, the estate employs precise viticultural practices. The wine matures in 25% new oak barrels, developing a robust, full-bodied profile with ripe tannins and dark fruit flavours, underscored by the classic Pauillac structure and finesse.
