Les Blanches Fleurs sits on the Beaune hillside at around 220–230 metres, on relatively shallow, gravelly clay-limestone soils, producing wines known for their combination of supple fruit and balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2019 vintage was a particularly good one for Burgundy, giving ripe, concentrated fruit without losing the freshness and definition that make the best Côte de Beaune reds so appealing. Expect plenty of red and darker berry fruit, with cherry, cassis and a touch of violet, alongside earthy sous-bois, spice and well-judged oak. There’s good structure here, but the tannins are fine rather than aggressive, with the acidity keeping everything fresh through the finish.
