Anna Maria Abbona is a remarkable estate located in the picturesque hills near Dogliani. Anna Maria herself is a delightful lady whose charm and passion is very much reflected in her wines. The estate carries a rich history that stretches back to 1936, when her grandfather, Angelo, planted the first vineyard known as Maioli. Anna Maria and her husband took over the estate in 1989. While their hearts lie with the Dolcetto grape that earned the region DOCG status, their portfolio showcases other eminent Langhe grape varieties. At the core of the family’s winemaking philosophy is the connection between indigenous grape varieties and their terroir—a bond that infuses their wines with distinct personality and identity. Their portfolio encompasses a range of exceptional wines, each crafted exclusively from 100% single-varietal grapes. White limestone soils and vineyard altitudes above 500 meters impart freshness and drinkability to their wines.
